Dr. Luna-Gonzales has been practicing Emergency Medicine and Pediatric Emergency Medicine for more than 25 years. She has held multiple leadership positions in California and Texas. Some of her practicing sites were the University of Texas Health Science Center, where she practiced as faculty for many years. She has also practiced at the University of Southern California Children's Hospital, Memorial Herman Children's Hospital, Dallas Children's Hospital and others.
Currently, Dr. Luna-Gonzales serves as the newly elected Chair of the American Academy of Women in Emergency Medicine at the American College of Emergency Physicians. She is also Past President for the Houston Society of Emergency Medicine.
Training in Pediatrics at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. Emergency Medicine Residency in Los Angeles California at Drew Medical School/UCLA School of Medicine. Mini-Neonatology Fellowship at the University of Hawaii, Kapiolani Children's Medical Center.
Dr. Luna-Gonzales attended medical school at The University of Utah School of Medicine.
